Pitchfork reviewed the latest collaboration between Kelli Schaefer & Mija today!
They say: “The track’s instrumentation manages to deftly combine a whole decade’s worth of trends, from the industrial sound of Jam City to Calvin Harris’s pop-trap percussion. And Mija’s collaborator, the Portland-based singer Kelli Schaefer, has some of the xx’s Romy Madley Croft’s velvet hush in her vocals.”
Noisey has the scoop on the latest collaboration between Kelli Schaefer & electronic artist Mija!
They say: “Schaefer’s lyrics are an us-against-the-world sort of thing, singing about the ways that the shitty state of affairs can bind people together. It’s about taking shelter from the world outside with someone you love, and Mija’s new beat casts an eerie cyberpunk neon over the whole production, echoing the both the tenderness and uncertainty of the track’s themes.”

I wanted to let you know that for the holiday season, we put the entire Amigx/ Amigx Recordings catalog on a “pay-what-you-want” sliding scale on Bandcamp, today through 12/25! We’ll be donating 10% of everything we make to Unite Oregon, a nonprofit dedicated to building an intercultural movement for justice. We thought this would be a fun way to both support a local nonprofit, and box up some of the records we’ve made over the past 8 years for our friends and friends of friends – a Christmas gift idea?
Thank you, as always. Your support is truly appreciated
